She enjoyed Disney Movies as a child. Taylor has said she owes her confidence to her mother, who helped her prepare for class presentations in her childhood.
The storytelling aspect drew Swift to country music. I was introduced to the genre by listening to “the great female country artists of the ’90s”—Faith Hill, Shania Twain, and the Dixie Chicks.”
As a songwriter and performer, Shania was her most significant musical influence; Hill was Swift’s childhood role model: “Everything she said, did wear, I tried to copy it,” She said.
She admired the Chicks’ attitude and ability to play their instruments independently. Swift learned to play the song “Cowboy Take Me Away” on the guitar, which is the song of the same band.
Alternative country artists like Lori Mckenna and Patty Griffin have also inspired Swift.
Various rock and pop artists have also influenced Swift. She lists Emmylou Harris, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Kris Kristofferson, and Carly Simon as her role models. Discussing Harris and McCartney, Swift said, “We have taken chances, but we have also been the same artist for our entire careers.”
As a solo artist and Beatle, Mc Cartney makes Swift feel “as if I have been let into his heart and mind. As a songwriter, Joni Mitchell influenced her with her autobiographical lyrics conveying deep emotions:

Swift characterized herself as a songwriter in an interview with The New Yorker. She said, “I write songs and give my voice to my songs to get those lyrics across.” Swift’s life experiences were an everyday inspiration in her early songs.

She believes songwriting is a way of lyrically expressing one’s inner feelings, love, sadness, sorrow, affection, and many more.
Her first album depicts infatuation from the perspective of a teenage girl. This theme was expressed in Fearlessness, which features imagery of fairy tales to the disconnect between fantasy and reality.
Swift explored negative emotions resulting from the lost romance in Speak Now.
She delved into the tumult of toxic relations on Red. She then embraced positivity after failed relationships in 1989. Swift was inspired by the media scrutiny surrounding the song Reputation,
